WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT WHEN I VISIT SOUTHCROSS?

At SouthCross you will find people of all ages and all walks of life. Our ushers will provide you with a bulletin and can assist you with any questions you might have. Our Sunday worship service typically includes contemporary and traditional music, prayer, offertory, scripture readings and a message from our pastor. Communion is served the first Sunday of the month and is open to all believers.

HOW LONG IS THE SERVICE?

Our service begins at 10:30 am and usually ends around 11:30 am. Sunday School is offered before the service from 9:15-10:15 am during the school year. In the summer our service time moves to 10:00 am.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

We care about you, not your clothes! At services you can expect to see everything from jeans to suits and ties and everything in between!

WHAT IS THERE FOR MY CHILDREN?

We welcome and encourage children to attend worship services with their parents. Children are invited forward for “Children’s Time” toward the beginning of the service; after which, childcare is provided in thenursery for preschoolers. Please contact an usher if your preschooler wishes to participate.

*Activity bags are available for young children at the back of the church.

*Sunday School is available during the school year at 9:15 am for children and youth ages 3 -18.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE SERVICE?

We invite you to join us for fellowship time after services where snacks and beverages are served. Please stay and get to know us! We encourage you to check out the info. center in the narthex where you can find brochures and other information about SouthCross.

AN UNUSUAL DISCLAIMER…

WE'RE NOT PERFECT

I'll bet you've had the experience of being part of a church that seems to have it all together. They rave about their programs and their people. To judge from what they say, you'd think they were perfect. But you know that they are not.

At SouthCross, we talk a lot about our programs and people, too. But we know that we are not perfect. We know that sometimes we mess things up and people are hurt as a result, because even loving people can make mistakes. You'll never hear from us that we're better than those other churches, because it simply isn't true. What you will find here, though, is an honest opinion of our shortcomings and the determination to work together to make the world a better place. We are imperfect people in an imperfect world, trying our best to love one another in God's name. We are a community that seeks a better way, in part by welcoming into fellowship all people who are honestly searching...just like we are.

We hope (and indeed, pray) that you will consider journeying with us.
